  I have used this florist many times in the past and, without fail I have received excellent service. Today, however this was not the case. I called in just after lunch time and asked if I was too late to order flowers for collection tomorrow morning, a basket arrangement and a hand tied posey. The lady serving me checked and said that could be done - the basket would be mixed flowers rather than the selection I had requested, but that was not a problem. The lady serving me then went to help a junior member of staff and handed over to her colleague to finalise my order. She was just about to take my details when another staff member (who had given the okay for my order to be taken) announced that the manager had just said that no more orders could be taken either for delivery or collection. I asked if that included my order as they had already agreed to take it. Apparently it did. The 2 staff members that I had dealt with were very apologetic and offered me baskets already made up - this wasn't what I wanted so I left the shop and went elsewhere. I can appreciate that the shop was very busy, but, having already agreed to take my order I do think it should have been honoured. I'll think twice before using them again which is a shame.
